Meet Our General Counselors

Taylor has been involved in theatre in the DFW area for the past 8 years. You may have seen her performing in productions at the Firehouse Theatre, Theatre Too, Dallas Children’s Theatre, and Greater Lewisville Community Theatre. As well as performing, Taylor has had the privilege of choreographing for the Firehouse Theatre’s JR productions, and teaching dance and theatre camps at KD Conservatory and Heights Recreation Center. Taylor graduated from Richardson High School’s Theatre Arts program in 2020 and is currently living in New York City pursuing her BFA in Musical Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College. The JCC holds a special place in Taylor’s heart as she performed in one of her very first shows here (Guys and Dolls Jr.) so she can’t wait to be back!

Morgan has been performing since she was ten years old. Morgan is originally from Port Charlotte, FL. Getting accepted as a Finance major, she attended the University of Florida for two years. During that time at UF, she realized Theatre was what she professionally wanted to pursue. Morgan is currently pursuing a BFA in Theatre: Acting and a Minor in Psychology at Southern Methodist University. She will be a junior at SMU this August.

Sophia is currently going into her senior year at Lake Highlands Highschool. She was a counselor at StarQuest last year and has also done a couple of productions with JPAS including Mary Poppins Jr. and Into the Woods Jr. She loves working with children and is so excited to get to work with the campers she met last year and the new campers this year. She is also so excited to work with the other staff and counselors. Sophia loves theatre and she plans to be a theatre educator. She would like to thank Alise for giving her the opportunity to spread the magic of theatre!

Gaelyn Brown has been teaching kids ages 4-14 sports for three years and began teaching drama in 2021. She loves to get to know each student she works with and strives to make each child feel seen, appreciated, and empowered. Teaching and acting are her two greatest passions. She has trained in voice, stage, commercial, and film acting, and has been playing the cello for seven years. Her perfect day would include a nice long thunderstorm, listening to The Lord of the Rings audiobook while doing a jigsaw puzzle, and snuggling up to watch her favorite sitcom with her family and a nice warm plate of chocolate chip cookies!
