Join us for the 38th Annual Bagel Run. A true Mother’s Day tradition, The Mother of All Runs, taking place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with the perfect family-friendly activity! Run or walk through a scenic neighborhood course in a timed 10K, 5K, or Kids K Run. Participate as an individual, family, or team. A virtual option is also available. All runners will receive a goody bag, shirt, and 4″ finishers medal.

RACES
Kids K Run is a 1k fun run that starts at the JCC property and continues west down Northaven Rd. towards Valleydale, where they will turn around and run back to the JCC Finish Line. All registered kids will receive a t-shirt and medal. This is open for ages 4 – 12.
5K Walk/Run takes you through a beautiful residential neighborhood along tree-lined streets with minor elevation changes. The race finishes on the Northaven Trail which will bring you back to the JCC.
10K Run is the same course as the 5K Walk/Run. Once runners return to the JCC, they will continue on the same course a second time, which will complete the full 10K run.
Virtual Run is a run you complete anytime, anywhere you choose! Run it, Walk it, or Jog it anytime and anywhere you want! You can track your miles by using your favorite running app such as; Strava, Nike, Garmin Connect, Runkeeper, or Map My Run or any other app you like using.

Who does the event benefit?
The funds that are raised for this event support our outstanding programming and services. Additionally, it also continues to enhance, maintain, and secure our 170,000 square feet of bricks and mortar and our 19-acre campus.
How can I confirm my registration?
You can confirm if you are registered by clicking here and entering the name of the registered person.
What time do the races begin?
The Kids K run will begin promptly at 8AM. The 5K Run/Walk and the 10K Run will being approximately at 8:20 once all Kids K runners have cleared the course.

Can I register on-site on race day and at what time?
Race Day registration will open at 7:15AM and continue until 7:50AM. Registration will be available on Race day until 10 minutes before the start of the 5K Run/Walk and 10K.
Where do I park?
The Northaven entrance will be closed for entry. You must enter through the Valleydale entrance. Please click here to view the parking map. Parking is free and on a first come first serve basis.
How can I prepare for the race?
Runners and walkers should be adequately prepared for participating in the Bagel Run. Appropriate training and medical review should be completed prior to participating.
Will there be water stations?
There will be 3 water stations on the course. The 1st location will be on Valleydale right past Hillhaven (Mile 1), 2nd on Midbury before the turn onto St. Judes (Mile 2), and the 3rd at the Finish Line. Water will also be available for the Kids K run at the turnaround located at Valleydale. See Map Here.
Can I pick up a packet for someone else?
Yes. Please be prepared to show their registration confirmation during packet pick up.
Where are restrooms located?
Restrooms will be located in the Aaron Family JCC building located on the JCC campus. Only those who have been checked-in at race entry gate will be granted access into the building. We will provide wristbands for those who have been temperature checked.
Is there medical help available on the course?
EMS will be present at the race site. Bike medics will be on the course throughout the race, assisting anyone that may have a need.
Is there a place to check personal belongings?
No, there will not be a bag check. Please leave your personal belongings that you cannot keep on your person at home or in your car.
Can I track my family/friends on the course?
No, we do not provide a way to track your family/friends on the course.
Can I bring friends/family who do not run?
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to participate by cheering on racers!
Can I wear earphones while running?
iPods or other MP3 players are permitted but the race staff asks that you use discretion – use at a low volume or keep one ear free to hear what is happening around you.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
The race is a RAIN or SHINE event. In the event of extreme weather (lighting, hail, tornado, etc.) the race will be cancelled. A weather notice will be placed on our homepage and JCC Dallas Facebook Page and the Bagel Run Event Page.
Can I get a refund?
Race registrations are non-refundable. We understand that issues come up that prevent you from running as planned; however as stated in our contingency message, race fees are non-refundable.
Can I walk the races?
Packets will also be available race day at the event. However, we encourage you to skip the lines and pick up your packets prior to race day!
Are dogs or baby strollers allowed on the course?
Participants running or walking with either a stroller or a leashed dog are strongly suggested to queue up toward the rear of masses to prevent potential incidents and minimize congestion near the crowded start line. Please be respectful to passing runners and walkers and remember to stay to the right along the route.

Do I need identification to come to the campus?
All participants and spectators are required to show a form of identification when arriving on campus. If you do not have a form of identification, your admittance to the campus may be refused.
Can I participate in the Kids Run with my child?
Yes. You may participate with your child in the Kids Run if they are too young to run without your help.
Will there be awards?
Yes, there will be medals offered for the top 3 categories for male and female finishers in both the 10K Run and the 5K Run/Walk.
What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a run you complete anytime, anywhere you choose!
How does a virtual run work?
- Sign up for the virtual race by clicking here.
- We will mail you all your swag with instructions on how to participate.
- Run or walk your registered distance anywhere you choose!
- Submit your times.
- Print out your finisher certificate.

How do I track my miles?

Yes, you can! You can do it yourself on your RunSign up dashboard using your login information from when you registered or you can email us at kward@jccdallas.org

Interested in Volunteering?
Whether it’s just you, or a group of friends or perhaps your entire office, the Bagel Run needs your help! Have fun passing out water bottles to runners as they run by. Dress up and make it fun with your friends. Signs are appreciated!
Organizations & Groups
If you’re a part of a group or organization who would like to volunteer at the event, we’d love to hear from you! Aid station volunteers are our largest need and is a major piece in bringing necessary nutrition, hydration, and aid to runners along the course. Groups are invited to decorate stations, promoting your organization while pumping up runners along the way!
