Courts and Reservations
How do I reserve a court?
JCC members can reserve tennis and pickleball courts through the Upace/MyJ app. All players must check in at the Pro Shop before play. Step-by-step guide.
How far in advance can I reserve a court?
Courts open for booking one week in advance, beginning at 8:00 AM. For example, courts for next Tuesday open at 8:00 AM this Tuesday. Reservations may be up to 1.5 hours.
Can I reserve more than one court?
Members may hold up to two court reservations within the one-week booking window.
What happens if it rains?
Weather updates are shared through our Racquet Sports WhatsApp groups. Community-wide updates go to the JCC Racquet Sports General Announcements group, and program or league updates go to that group’s chat. Join here.
How do I cancel a court reservation?
Cancel through the Upace app or by calling the Pro Shop at (214) 239 7154, as soon as possible so another player can use the court. Unused reservations that aren’t canceled are subject to a $20 no-show fee.
How do I reserve the ball machine?
Reserve a court through Upace and request the ball machine when you arrive. Unless it’s already on your court, pick it up from the shed and return it after use, with all balls back in the machine. It’s for members only: $18 for 30 minutes or $24 for 60 minutes.
Drills and Lessons
What is the Open Drill cancellation policy?
Drills need at least one player registered by 6:00 PM the evening before, or they’re canceled and registered players receive a credit voucher. You may cancel before 6:00 PM the evening prior at no charge; later cancellations are charged the full drill fee.
How do I know which Open Drill is right for me?
Email Neil Kenner at nkenner@jccdallas.org to schedule a complimentary 15-minute evaluation. A pro will recommend the right level and the drills or programs that fit you best.
What’s the difference between an Open Drill and a Private Group?
Open Drills are scheduled, level-based sessions anyone at that level can register for. A Private Group is organized by you and your group and scheduled directly with a pro, so you choose the group, schedule, and focus.
How do I schedule a private lesson?
Email Neil Kenner at nkenner@jccdallas.org, and he’ll connect you with the pro who’s the best fit. You can learn about each pro’s background and coaching style on Meet Our Pros.
Pickleball
What is Pickleball Community Play?
Designated times when pickleball courts are set up for players to come out, mix in, and play. It’s player-led with no instruction, included with membership, and open to nonmembers for $10. Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 to 6:45 PM, Fridays 8:00 to 11:00 AM, and Saturdays 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Calendar and registration.
