Community Programs

Our community is an important part of who we are at the J. We all want to help others and sometimes we need help in finding the way! There are lots of things adults can do but finding the right “mitzvah” for kids can be challenging. Join this special group for youth community outreach programs to help make a difference.

Do you love to help others? What about making a difference in the community? If you need mitzvah or volunteer hours for school or organization we have the perfect place for you. At this organizational meeting, we will explore different opportunities for doing projects that help others. Plans for projects will be discussed and future meetings for actions will be scheduled.

Grades: 5 – 7
Meeting Date: Sunday, November 15
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Price: $15

Future Leaders in Business (FLIB) is an 8-month program for a small and select group of teens entering 10th – 12th grades that will start in the fall of each year. Each month, “FLIB-bers” will be meeting with community members who are leaders in their fields. FLIB-bers will have the opportunity to tour businesses and meet in small groups with presidents and CEOs of companies. The FLIB program aims to empower teens to explore possibilities for their futures.
