Private Lessons

We offer a variety of private lessons ranging from dance to singing to many different instruments. Lessons available in packs of four, in either 30-minute or 1-hour sessions. All four lessons must be used within three months of purchase.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel a lesson and not be charged for that lesson, please contact your instructor and CC arobinson@jccdallas.org 24 hours in advance of your scheduled lesson.

OUR PRO SHOP

Tennis Pro Shop

At our Tennis Pro Shop, we offer the latest racquets, shoes, and apparel for adults and juniors, alongside restringing and re-gripping services. We also provide racket customization and ball machine rentals for independent practice. Drop off your racquet, and we’ll quickly get you back in the game, ready to unleash your tennis passion at the J.

Monday – Thursday: 8 am – 8 pm
Friday – Saturday: 8 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 8 am – 6 pm

TENNIS

Levels of Play

1 - 1.5 (New Player)

New Player: Has no or limited tennis experience and is still working primarily on getting the ball into play.

2 (Beginner Player)

Beginner Player: Needs on-court experience. Has stroke weaknesses but is familiar with basic positions for singles and doubles play.

2.5 (Beginner Player)

Beginner Player: Learning to judge where the ball is going although court coverage is weak. Can sustain a short rally of slow pace with other players of the same ability.

3 (Beginner-Intermediate Player)

Beginner-Intermediate Player: Fairly consistent when hitting medium-paced shots, but strokes lacks execution when trying for directional control, depth or power. Needs work on depth and variety.

3.5 (Intermediate Player)

Intermediate Player: Has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but still lacks depth and variety. Starting to exhibit more aggressive net play and has improved court coverage.

4 (Intermediate-Advanced Player)

Intermediate-Advanced Player: Has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success. Rallies may be lost due to impatience.

4.5 (Advanced Player)

Advanced Player: Starting to master the use of power and spins; can handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents. Can hit first serves with power and accuracy and place the second serve.
