Get Fit Summer Challenge
Memorial Day-Labor Day

Go head-to-head with JCC members in your favorite form of exercise. Whether you’re into strength training, running, group exercise, swimming, or anything else. Anyone 13 years old or older can compete; each participant, however, must have a unique email address.

Enjoy the benefits of the J all summer long. Summer membership begins June 1st and is valid until August 31st. The membership includes access to the Sports & Fitness Facility. Exclusions apply.

Pop Up Yoga Classes
In Honor of Alzheimer Awareness

On June 21st, our remarkable team of yoga instructors will lead our regularly scheduled classes along with a few pop-up classes in support of Alzheimer recognition. Please wear purple to class in support of Alzheimer’s awareness.
Let us come together as a community on the longest day of the year to work out in our group fitness classes in honor of those with Alzheimer’s.

The Longest Day of the Year Flow Yoga Class: Co-taught by the amazing yoga team of Marco and Renee.

Chair Yoga Tai Chi Stretch Class | 1 pm
Nama-stay for Chair Yoga. Tanya will be leading us in a restorative Tai Chi Stretch class. We will have chairs set up for our students. Be prepared to leave feeling restored and Zen.

Join us to learn about the latest research providing insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Virtual Talk: Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior
June 21 at 6:00 pm | In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association 

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
