Activities

A heart-healthy cardio workout in the form of a non-stop dance party! Dances of the 1960s to 1990s are featured in “Groove Blocks” choreographed with the dances and music of specific decades. We begin with the ‘60s and seamlessly transition through eras of music and style, finishing with the dances of the ‘90s and beyond.

This fun, high-energy, dance fitness class is achievable for beginning exercisers, experienced dancers, and everyone in-between. Each class finishes with a signature “Group Groove” where class participants perform a group dance. From The Stroll to the Electric Slide, get ready to hit the dance floor!

Get on the move with our total body low impact group exercise class. This class is especially designed for active aging adults that are looking to improve cardiovascular fitness, make a few strength gains, and fine tune your balance.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

Activate your urge for variety! Splash offers fun, shallow water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a SilverSneakers kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination.

Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

Join us to learn some fun line dances or just come for the great exercise. You never need a partner. Plus you get exercise without realizing you are actually exercising. Dancing has been found to be the only regular physical activity associated with a significant drop in the incidence of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

A chair yoga class to upbeat music, incorporating the healing benefits of breath and laughter therapy.
