About the Course:
In this course, we explore the Jewish roots of comic book characters. The Jewish creators of these characters used knowledge of Torah stories and personal life experiences to develop many superheroes and their stories. We will look at how and why Immigration to America and World War II were catalysts for the creation of the superheroes and answer questions about Comic Books yesterday and today– including the most burning question- Is Superman Jewish?
