Lion King – Week 8
a note from alise

Focus + Excitement = Achievement

The excitement is brewing! Both casts will be running the show this Sunday.

It’s time for our actors to focus their energy and bring all that they have learned to every rehearsal from this point forward. We love the progress they are making. Self-care and rest before rehearsals is important. Please continue to encourage your actor to practice in between rehearsals. Repetition is key.

Everything is coming together nicely. Our costumes look amazing, set design is looking great, props are being purchased and created, and the stage is being prepped so our stars can shine brightly!

Let’s Go Viral – ‘Can You Hear Me Roar’ Challenge

Please mark your calendars for tomorrow, Thursday, March 12 – I’ve created a marketing blitz challenge for all of us. Last week everyone received an email from me with the subject line “social media challenger for Lion King” – let’s do it.

I passionately, kindly, lovingly, and excitedly ask that EACH of you participate. It will only take five minutes of your time, but the impact will be large; I know we can do it. I am sending a reminder tomorrow. But if you can now, locate that email and download the video to your phone or computer so you are ready to rock! Those who participate and post as instructed will receive an extra complimentary ticket!

Digital Marketing Kits & Tickets

Please continue to use elements from our digital marketing kit on social media. Word-of-mouth is the ultimate tool – THANK YOU!

Friendly Reminder

We are at a critical point in the show process where everyone’s participation is needed. Please do not miss any rehearsals. Remember: acting is a team sport.

Electronic Resource Library

PLEASE share this with your actor. This section is designed to assist them between rehearsals. Happy practicing!

Rehearsal: Sunday, March 15

  • Hakuna Cast will meet in the Senior Assembly Room.
  • Matata Cast will meet in Zale Auditorium.
  • Pick-up will be at 5:30 pm in the lobby.

SHOUT OUT to all our amazing volunteers – thank you!

Make-Up for Both Casts

The following is not included on the sign-up form, but if you are interested in helping with make-up, email me at – I can give the specifics. You will not miss a show to help with this; this happens while the actors are getting dressed.

If you actor has not brought a bag in yet with all their undergarments needed for the show, they MUST do this on Sunday please!

How to Bring Items
Please have each item labeled with your actor’s name; the BAG needs to be clearly labeled with your actor’s name and what cast they are in. This is super important so we can stay organized!

Purchase Tickets

Complimentary Tickets

All families will receive one (1) complimentary ticket per actor enrolled in the program. For those of you who sent me their bios early, you will receive an additional complimentary ticket. All complimentary and purchased tickets will be available at will call on the day of the performances and can be used toward any performance.
