- And online wellness
Wellness is maximizing our true potential to live a healthier, happier, more fulfilled life through focusing on moving more, eating right and balancing life.
Virtual Lifestyle Coaching sessions are offered through Baylor Scott & White Health. Sessions are up to 30 minutes and are done over the phone or Webex. During these sessions, your coach will discuss realistic goals to keep you #wellthy and on track with your health and wellness journey. This is a great opportunity to check-in, have someone hold you accountable, and get motivated to create lasting healthy habits.

Brett was really fantastic and gave me the support and encouragement I needed to begin more balanced eating.
-
Brett truly lives up to the adage give a man a fish he’ll eat for one day; teach a man to fish he’ll eat for life. She helps you get on the path you need as a person to reach your goals and turn those goals into habits. People come to realizations about themselves through her guidance, and this creates a terrific learning experience.
-
I found the wellness coaching held me accountable to reach my goals; something very important to me and something I’ve never done before. Talking it out was very helpful and informative, and it gave me the incentive to stick with it.
-
Kept me accountable; made me look at myself in a different way; made me realize choices I have; made me more aware of my health options for food.
-
I was skeptical before starting the lifestyle coaching class. Now it has become an everyday part of my life. Thanks Brett.
-
Brett is always willing to listen and hear what I have to say. She has positive input and feedback, and is knowledgeable in her field and does her research. She always makes you feel comfortable in the sessions and is very encouraging.
-
I am a strong believer in the program and appreciate all the insight and guides Brett has done for me in short time we’ve worked together.
-
Brett helped me believe in myself which helped me realize my power. My mindset changed and I began to see that by small increments I could change my lifestyle and my thinking.
-
I have finally found my workout buddy. Four months later we are stilled committed and accountable to our healthy lifestyle goals.
-
I lost 25 pounds, dropped my resting heart rate to 58, dropped my HgbA1c to normal range, dropped needed for diabetic medication, improved physical fitness to four times per week of HIIT spin classes, improved performance to top five riders at JCC. Made new friends, learned new technique of mindfulness which is outstanding tool.
-
My stress levels have been extremely high lately, but I am able to better cope. I knew the value of exercise but offered myself numerous excuses not to work out. Accountability with the coach is key and encouragement from our group.

Now, more than ever, it’s critical to stay connected. During these unprecedented times, we need to exercise to help us stay strong and healthy—physically and mentally. Go head-to-head with JCC participants across the continent in your favorite form of exercise. Whether you’re into strength training, running, group exercise, swimming, or something else, you’ll have a chance to test your mettle.
The #JCCSummerFitChallenge started on May 31, and ends on Labor Day, September 7. Make sure you’re part of the action. Anyone 13 years old or older can compete; each participant, however, must have a unique email address.
